Let’s talk about something that’s rarely mentioned but very real: going to the bathroom for the first time after birth.

Maybe no one warned you about it – maybe you’ve already heard stories. Either way, most new moms agree: this moment can be a little intimidating. Not because something is wrong, but because your body just went through something major, and now it needs to slowly find its way back.

So, what should you expect?

💧 Peeing

The first time you pee after birth can sting, especially if you’ve had tears or stitches. That’s why our peri bottle exists – to help you rinse gently while you pee, reducing the sting and keeping things clean.

Tip: Use warm water in the bottle, and start spraying before you begin to pee – not after. That can make a big difference!

💩 Pooping

Okay, yes – the first bowel movement can be scary. It’s easy to worry that everything “down there” might fall apart. But we promise: it won’t.

Still, it’s completely normal to feel nervous. Take your time, try not to strain, and drink plenty of water. Some people find it helpful to hold a pad or towel gently against the perineum for support.

💡 Our best tip?

Don’t rush. Go slowly. Breathe.
And if you feel unsure – talk to your midwife or care provider. You’re not the first to feel this way, and you’re not alone.
